South Coast Metro Alliance honored at 25th anniversary
The South Coast Metro Alliance received a number of accolades Friday during a luncheon at the Westin South Coast Plaza commemorating the group's 25th anniversary.
The alliance, which consists of business and political leaders from Costa Mesa and Santa Ana, received proclamations from the Costa Mesa City Council, Sen. Tom Harman, a representative for Assemblyman Van Tran and John Moonach, the chairman of Orange County's Board of Supervisors. Councilwoman Wendy Leece, who presented a proclamation on behalf of Mayor Eric Bever, praised the group for encouraging growth an development in the region.
The alliance, headquartered on Sunflower Avenue by the city boundary, includes members from South Coast Plaza, the SoBeCA District and a number of upscale hotels in north Costa Mesa.
