Pacific Symphony musicians submitted their own entry to our ReRite of Spring Project.  The Frite of Spring is a mashup between Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and Michael Jackson’s Thriller. It will be shown on the plaza June 8—post-concert, as part of the “Inside and Out” Plazacast community festival. Here is a sneak peek video. For more information, visit their event webpage.

South Coast Metro Nights at the Theater will include Sister Act on August 15th and Anything Goes on September 26th. For more information contact Diane Pritchett: 714.435.2109.

Called “ambassadors of the ’60s,” the four stars of The Midtown Men bring their Broadway talent, top-shelf choreography and unique onstage chemistry to Pacific Symphony for the final concert of the 2012-13 Pops season. Taking the world by storm as the original cast of the Broadway hit “Jersey Boys,” the talented quartet reunites as The Midtown Men to perform favorite 1960s hits backed by the lush sounds of the full symphony orchestra. The concert takes place June 13-15, at 8 p.m. in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the performance webpage.

It’s almost time to pack a picnic and head to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine for six music-filled evenings under the stars with Pacific Symphony, as the orchestra kicks off its 35th anniversary season! Presented by Hoag, the Symphony’s 2013 Summer Festival begins with the annual “July 4 Extravaganza,” featuring the heartfelt classics of Neil Diamond and a stunning fireworks finale. Visit the Summer Festival webpage for performances and tickets.
